Menlo Park motorcyclist killed

The Santa Clara County medical examiner's office Mondday identified a motorcyclist who died after crashing on state Highway 84 near La Honda on Sunday morning as 29-year-old Sundararajan Venkatesh of Menlo Park.

The crash was reported at about 10:10 a.m. on westbound Highway 84 near Entrada Way in unincorporated San Mateo County.

Mr. Venkatesh, a Menlo Park resident, apparently lost control of his 2009 Honda motorcycle while negotiating a turn and crashed into a guardrail.

He was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered major internal injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

He was airlifted to Stanford Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at 2:23 p.m.
