Around Town: Menlo School stages 'Twelfth Night'

Menlo School's drama department will present Shakespeare's comedy "Twelfth Night" Jan. 28-31 at the Florence Moore Theatre on campus at 50 Valparaiso Ave. in Atherton.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28-31, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Jan. 30. Tickets, at $5 for students and senior citizens and $8 for adults, are available at tickets@menloschool.org, at the campus bookstore, or at the door of Florence Moore Theatre, 50 Valparaiso Ave. in Atherton.

Healthful eating

Psychologist Annye Rothenberg will answer questions at a signing for her book, "I Like to Eat Treats," from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Sigona's Market, 2345 Middlefield Road in Redwood City.

A former Portola Valley resident, she has written a two-part book: first, a story that reaches young children, and, second, a guidebook for parents teaching the steps to take to get young children to want healthful food. Practical advice deals with picky eaters, junk food eaters, overeaters, and how to get kids to stay at the table. For more information, call 364-4466.

Haiti benefit

The Emily Joubert home and garden store at the corner of Woodside and Canada roads in Woodside is hosting a reception and shopping weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 6 and 7, for Haiti relief. During the two-day event, all proceeds from the items in the tent and 10 percent from each regularly priced item will go to the American Red Cross, according to the store. A three-hour reception starts at 6 p.m. Saturday at the store.
