Seniors can apply for parcel tax exemption

Bookmark and Share
Senior citizens who own property in the Las Lomitas School District have until June 1 to apply for an exemption from the $311 parcel tax passed by voters in 2007.

To qualify for the exemption, seniors must be 65 years old or older by July 1, and live on the property they own in the school district.

Those wishing to apply for the exemption should contact the district office at 854-6311 for an application form.

The tax is expected to raise about $1.2 million in 2010-11.
