Hundreds of kids and other family members gathered Sunday at Bedwell-Bayfront Park in Menlo Park for one of the community's most popular attractions, Kite Day.

The weather was warm but that didn't stunt the fun as kids flew their own kites or ones bought at the site, where you could buy a kite, a hot dog and a drink — all for $6.

Kite Day is an annual event sponsored by the city of Menlo Park.
