Talk: How to deal with foreclosures
A Menlo Park lawyer who helps people fight foreclosure proceedings will give a presentation on the issue Wednesday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in the Menlo Park City Council chambers.
The presentation by Robert Spanner of the Trial & Technology Law Group is free, and open to the public. According to Mr. Spanner, the issues to be covered include negotiating with lenders, an overview of successful lawsuits against predatory lending, and government initiatives to help people facing foreclosure.
The presentation is geared for people who may be at risk of foreclosure, as well as people who have a general interest in the topic. Menlo Park's Belle Haven neighborhood has been especially hard-hit by foreclosures during the recession.

The council chambers are located in the Civic Center complex, between Laurel and Alma streets.
