Letter: Who was responsible for Lehman losses?
Congresswomen Anna Eshoo and Jackie Speier were making noise in Washington last week, hoping to get the government to give back to local counties the money they lost with Lehman Brothers as if the counties bear no responsibility for investing their cash.
If they were really out to help the counties, these two fiscal hawks would not have voted for the health care bill, whose cost will make the money lost with Lehman look like peanuts. I wonder if a few trips on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's plane influenced their votes?
