Summer Reading

Uploaded: Jun 9, 2015
When we first moved to the Bay Area, I was eager to check out the local libraries' children's programs. Their weekly events were plentiful and many looked suitable for even the youngest audience.

We have not been disappointed. I still remember our son laughing at a magician performing at the Palo Alto Children's Library only a little while after our move. And the library continues to be one of our son's favorite regular outings.

It's exciting to see our daughter starting to also enjoy the library programs now that she is growing up. She saw her first puppet show at the library. And I assume this summer will be filled with many more firsts - maybe she will see her first Taiko drumming performance, magician, or even bird show.

Our family is looking forward to participating in the local libraries' summer programs this year. Has your family participated in these programs? What was your experience?

The Atherton library was hosting a baby sign language series this spring. It was great. The little ones were entertained while the parents learned a ton of signs to slowly teach the little ones back at home.

Samo - Thanks for commenting! Sounds like a fun class. Hope they continue the program in the fall.
