Rider Switch at Disney

Uploaded: Aug 18, 2015
Our family recently took our first trip to Disney World. We had a wonderful time. And our trip was made even more special because of their rider switch option. If you haven't used it before, rider switch allowed our son to ride on some attractions twice in a row. When his sister was too short to ride, he waited in line once but rode on the attraction twice - once with me and once with his dad. That way both of us parents had a turn on the ride with our son and a turn waiting on the side with our daughter. Our son couldn't have been more happy to have a younger sister!

While we love going to the local theme parks like Happy Hollow and Gilroy Gardens, we will miss having this rider switch option when we visit them again. It's tough to choose which parent can enjoy a ride with our son. And which will wait with our daughter.

I heard that Disney thinks of everything. And I am so happy they thought of rider switch. Let's see how our son thanks his sister now that we are back home from our trip.
We need your support now more than ever. Can we count on you?

Rider Switch is the best! We used it a lot when we went a few years ago. Question for you- do they still issue the adult waiting with the smaller child a little rider switch ticket that allows them to come back anytime during the day to ride the ride? Or did you have to just wait in a certain area and ride it as soon as the first group got back?

Debbie - Thanks for commenting! We did receive a little ticket while waiting with the smaller child. However, we never tried to come back later in the day - our son always wanted to jump right back on the ride immediately.
