$5 for a whole bag of books

Uploaded: Sep 17, 2015
The Menlo Park Library's fall book sale is this weekend. In the past I've been quite impressed by the selection of books at this sale. Even on Sunday when you can fill an entire paper bag with books for only $5.

Throughout the year, we regularly browse the Friends Bookstore at the Menlo Park Library. I'm frequently surprised by what great children's books we can buy for only a dollar or two. It's hard to leave empty handed.

Our son recently asked for books about Lightning McQueen and he was disappointed when we only found one at a local bookstore. I think he was hoping for an entire section devoted to Cars. The following week we lucked out and found three like-new Cars books at the Friends Bookstore (one book even came with a full set of stickers).

We won't be able to make it to the book sale this weekend. And I know we are missing out. I would have loved to have seen what books our son would have picked out as he filled up his $5 bag.
