So many questions

Uploaded: Mar 10, 2016
We all know that kids ask a lot of questions. And one question can quickly lead to another and another and another.

I remember one of the first times I googled a question our son asked me. He wanted to know what sound a giraffe makes. And I was stumped. Thankfully we quickly found a variety of kid-friendly websites with lots of different animal videos to satisfy his curiosity.

Last week I checked out Kiddle, a kid-friendly search engine, and so far we've loved it. Our son likes the robot on the homepage and it's easy to quickly search topics and find websites or videos designed with kids in mind.

Our son is too young to use the site himself, so I'm not as concerned about which words are being blocked and whether kids can still find inappropriate content.

With more rainy weather in the forecast, I'm sure we will be using Kiddle to check out videos of cheetahs running, spiders creeping, elephants playing and whales eating.

Have you used Kiddle yet? Or have you checked out another kid-friendly search engine?
We need your support now more than ever. Can we count on you?

Another very good site my kids use at school and home is KidzSearch.com It has many features, such as kid-friendly auto-complete, voice search, moderated forums for kids to ask/answer school questions, teacher selected sites and videos, safe streaming music, etc. You can also customize the way it looks with personalized screen images. You should really check it out.
