Food Partiers! are everywhere and doing crazy, interesting things.
Meet Will Kliedon. We got a shot of Mr. Ojai Energetics recently; a Menlo Park, CA-Homeboy whose parents met at Stanford. He’s creating food products with CBD, short for cannabidiol, known to have medicinal properties without the psychoactive effects of THC (in other words, you won’t get high when taking it). It’s legal to produce food products in the U.S. using CBD.
“Hemp is powerful,” says Will. “It can replace concrete, and the CBD part of the plant is well studied as a healing aid. It has the optimal omega 6 & 3 balance, important when dealing with symptoms such as inflammation, pain, and anxiety.”
Q: If I use it will I get hair likes yours?
A: Well, CBD does promote a flowstate (when your meridian flow runs better through your body.)

Graduate of Permaculture College Australia, Kliedon says CDB is an ancient root, not a modern innovation. He became aware of the healing properties and became a fan while in school.
“There was no product I wanted to put in my body to enhance wellness, so I set out to create something good to take and give to others. CBD has been used for 1000’s of years - the body produces it naturally. It feeds our Endocannabinoid System, which helps with other body processes.” Described as the biochemical communication system in the human body, the Endocannabinoid System plays a crucial role in regulating our physiology and mood. More than 100 cannabinoids have been identified in hemp, per Project CBD. Of these, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) have been studied most extensively.
I used the CBD Coconut Oil (in place of olive oil) on my Sauted Brussels Sprouts. Loved the taste…

but did I feel better? Well I don’t know, you’d have to ask the wine.
Will aims to provide the purest and most ethically produced CBD product on the market “We do 3rd party batch testing. CBD is deficient in our bodies, and numerous studies have shown it to be vital for optimal health and living.”
It’s a bit of heebee jeebee to me right now, but quite honestly, Will talks like the future of medicine, or what I hope some of it will look like.
CBD is spicing up drinks at San Francisco restaurants including Gracias Madres (try the Sour T-iesel or Rolled Fashioned) and Café Gratitude (check out the Stoney Negroni), Here’s an exploratory cocktail for you to enjoy on your own - perfect for Cinco de Mayo!
And just in case, here’s an easy munchie recipe too.
Ahhhh, relax and enjoy.
Happy 420!
