It only takes one

With a new baby it's easy to fall into the same routine day in and day out. Thankfully my husband reminded me of the importance of a date night out.

It's hard to enjoy a night out if you think baby is going to be unsettled the entire time you are gone. However, last month we finally enjoyed a date night at the Mountain Winery. While our baby was not happy for the entire outing, I was amazed when we arrived home and all three kids were content and waiting up for us. Seeing our baby lounging on our babysitter's lap without even her pacifier in her mouth to soothe her, reminded me that she will be fine when we go out to dinner, a concert, or a massage.

Not long after that concert, my husband and I enjoyed a nice relaxing dinner at Bird Dog and I had a much needed massage.

Sometimes you just need one night out to get the ball rolling and remember just how much it refuels you and your relationship.
