Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Parents Place holds a special place in my heart. When we originally moved to the Bay Area we lived in Palo Alto for a couple of months. Shortly after we moved here, I checked out a local parents group that met weekly at Parents Place. I needed to meet other local parents. I had no idea that my decision would be so life changing.

My kids have been going to Parents Place almost weekly ever since. We met friends that day who we met up with multiple times a week for play dates, park outings and hot chocolate during my son’s baby and toddler years. And I’m still close friends with moms that I met at Parents Place that very first day.

Now that my youngest is almost one we are outgrowing our weekly meetup and we will no longer be going to Parents Place as frequently. Parents Place welcomed us with open arms when we moved here and I can not imagine our kids’ childhoods without all of the memories we made in their playroom.

If you’ve never checked out Parents Place before, this weekend is their summer camp fair. Parents Place is a wonderful resource for parents of newborns, teenagers and every age in between. Even though we have outgrown this particular meetup, I’m planning to continue to turn to Parents Place when we are looking for support, friendships and information.
