Palo Alto Edible Tree Walk
August 11, 10 AM - noon

Canopy joins with partners Transition Palo Alto, Slow Food South Bay and the Silicon Valley Permaculture Guild for our third annual Palo Alto Edible Tree Walk. We'll walk a short loop across downtown, starting at Dr Eugenie Johnson Park and ending at Gamble Garden. We'll stop frequently to gaze up at trees that have some edible part, learning about the trees from multiple perspectives, including arborist/botanist, chef, permaculturist, historian and policy wonk. It's a fun way to learn about some of your more unassuming neighbors, while getting a little exercise with some like-minded souls. Be sure to RSVP (it's free) as these walks generally fill up.

You really do a great job of keeping your readers informed about upcoming foodie events in the community. You should consider creating a stand-alone website for the topic. I'll bet you wouldn't have any trouble obtaining loyal visitors! I stumbled on you blog doing research for a similar "community events" project I am working on. Thanks for the inspiration!
