As Kneaded Bakery to pop up in Palo Alto this weekend

Uploaded: Jun 6, 2019
Sticky buns, bialys, chocolate chip brioche and other As Kneaded Bakery goods will be for sale this weekend at a pop-up in Palo Alto.

Palo Alto native Iliana Berkowitz started As Kneaded as a bread subscription service three years ago and opened her own brick-and-mortar bakery in San Leandro in November.

Her bread is still available at local grocery stores but sweet and savory offerings are only available at the East Bay bakery (located at 585 Victoria Court, San Leandro).

This Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., she'll be at Piazza's Fine Foods at at 3922 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto selling her specialty baked goods. Look for bostocks (a thick piece of As Kneaded challah, topped with simple syrup, jam, almond frangipane and sliced almonds), "everything knots" (a knot of challah dough topped with everything bagel seasoning) and birotes, a Mexican roll similar to ciabatta, among other items.

As Kneaded Bakery breads, including baguettes, challah and sourdough loaves, will also be available.

As Kneaded makes the best bread! The large loaves can be cut into smaller pieces and frozen. And, I love supporting a woman owned business!
Can't wait for the Pop-Up!
