Psssttt...Rossotti's Picks the Date

Uploaded: Aug 5, 2019

Guess who's re-opening?

For the...6th time (?) in 167 years. One of the oldest bars in the state. Check out the history of the Alpine Inn / Rossotti's here.

Many a Food Party! have been penned in this prestigious backyard. I sneeked a looksie over the fence to catch the new bar,

picnic tables, and what's this shed on the right... another bar? Covered seating? Can't wait to find out.

I don't remember this placard in the parking lot. Am I blind or is it new?

I bet Molly returns in spirit for the opening. If an attractive, older woman whisks past your table with an ethereal flair and an "everything OK?"

...please say hi for me :)

Shhhhh....let's keep it to ourselves for now.

Read to the bottom of the plaque (not placard!) to see how long it's been there.

No we were talking about that in the parking lot "densely," I see it says that but I don't remember it being there. Do you?

The place will likely be crowded initially and a new kitchen always needs time to get up to speed. Give it a few months to settle down and it'll be more enjoyable.
I can just imagine the crowd scene the next weekends will be. Patiently waiting.

I agree Give it a Couple, though not months, I think a week or two. The Food Party! misses our muse :). Yea for Zots!

Big thanks to the preservationists. Now it's up to us to enjoy the benefit.

Just curious. He can always stay at home if needed but it'd be really fun to bring along our pooch.

Good question. I sent an email to Zotts to check about dogs. If I hear back - I will post answer.

hmmm...hopfully the new proprietors will actually take the time to clean the griddle. The hamburgers at Rossotti's were about as greasy as they got & the tomato/lettuce 'set-up' was always a questionable surcharge.

Peanuts + beer was always a safe bet & the dusty front parking lot always warranted a major car wash the same/following day.

Still nice to see the place resurface.

Someone should bring back the old Peanut Farm on Canada Road as well...

To the poster above, sorry, they did a full remodel with updating everything, but they decided not to clean the griddle. You heard it's an entire remodel with an entirely new ownership group and staff right?
In any event, it sounds like it's just not the place to you, you'll be missed but at least you won't have to wash your car.
