Nealon Park Part 2

Uploaded: Feb 29, 2020
With the gorgeous sunny days, we decided to spend some time at Sharon and Nealon Park. It was so nice to finally have the twisty slide back! Our kids used to love spending a couple hours at Sharon Park walking around the pond, checking out the fish and other creatures, and then playing at the playground. But when the twisty slide was unusable we ended up visiting other parks instead.

Earlier this week we hung out with friends at Nealon Park and were disappointed to see both the zip lines and the merry-go-round out of order. How sad! I hope this equipment is fixed as soon as possible as they are both great fun.

I started following a post on Nextdoor about the merry-go-round and read about some safety concerns at Nealon. I love that Nealon has lots of creative ways for kids to climb, swing, and slide. And I was surprised that our youngest felt comfortable exploring most of the equipment on her own. The only safety issue we’ve run into was with the merry go round when kids were trying to get on and off or were being extra silly when it was already in motion.

I’d love to hear about your experiences, positive and negative, at the newly renovated Nealon Park.
We need your support now more than ever. Can we count on you?
