A grab-and-go food outpost by Proper Food and a Peninsula location of Andytown Coffee Roasters are the next two eateries in a spate of dining concepts coming to Menlo Park at Springline, a mixed-use development with 183 apartments plus retail and office spaces.

Proper Food, set to open May 2, and Andytown Coffee Roasters, opening at the end of April or early May, join the two eateries already open: a cafe and wine bar, both called Canteen, from Camper restaurateur Greg Kuzia-Carmel.

Proper Food, branded as "a fresh take on takeaway," was started by Howard and Dana Bloom, who met at Stanford, and currently offers pickup and delivery in San Francisco and New York City. Outside of their SFO location in Terminal 1, this will be their first shop south of San Francisco.

Their menu focuses on breakfasts, salads, hot plates, soups, wraps and desserts. Breakfast items include burritos, an egg-white frittata with romesco, croissant sandwiches, overnight oats and power bowls. Additional dishes include a vegan carrot and hazelnut soup with lemon; a buffalo cauliflower or chicken wrap; chimichurri hanger steak; a couscous and spinach salad with honey-ginger salmon; and a green tea soba noodle salad with sesame chicken. The location also plans to offer alcoholic beverages.

Andytown Coffee Roasters, based in San Francisco, plans to serve coffee beverages, cookies, pastries and Irish soda bread. Coffees include drinks like the "Snowy Plover," an espresso cream soda that can come in green tea and caffeine-free huckleberry variants, as well as traditional options like espressos and lattes.

Additional restaurants planned at the Springline development are slated to open throughout the summer and fall, according to a press statement. They are Burma Love, Che Fico and Barebottle Brew Co.
