Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Our oldest kids are in school for a significant part of the day. I’m enjoying larger chunks of one on one time with our youngest. When the school year started, I expected to use this precious time for lots of outings, books, songs, games, and pretend play.

However, I quickly realized that our youngest truly enjoys playing with her older siblings. She’ll play with me, but she would prefer to play with her brother and/or sister.

So, while we are going on outings, singing, dancing, reading, etc., I’m also using this time to clean, shop and get everything organized for the rest of the day and week. It’s so much easier to do these chores with one toddler rather than 3 kids.

It’s always hard to figure out exactly what chores to do and when to do them. Who will get the short end of the stick? But, thankfully, our youngest is still at an age when a donut makes a trip to the grocery store exciting and a leisurely stroll down the toy aisles makes a Target fun run.

And now both of us are super excited for brother and sister to come home so we can stop running errands and instead focus our time and energy on play.
