Our middle child will start kindergarten this year. It is a huge disappointment for her not to start the school year in person. She has helped drop off and pick up her older brother at the elementary school over the past 2 years. She was looking forward to finally being the one getting dropped off and picked up.
To help get her excited for the upcoming school year, I’ve been trying to share all of the positive information I can find about what to expect. But so much of the back to school news is filled with worries and uncertainty.
Today, however, I came across a kindergarten teacher’s letter to her students and I am so grateful. It is exactly what I needed to read to be filled with hope and help our kids look forward to starting school. If you have a little one starting kindergarten this year, I hope their teacher is just as creative as Dana Kimmell was in her viral post.
