ATHERTON
Stolen vehicle pursuit:
Christopher McHenry, 38, of San Francisco, was arrested March 25 on theft charges after leading police on a 15-minute chase before crashing an allegedly stolen vehicle on Middlefield and Marsh roads and then fleeing on foot in the Lindenwood area. He was taken to the hospital and later booked into county jail.
MENLO PARK
Assault with a deadly weapon:
**A resident in the first block of Terminal Avenue was taken to the hospital March 26 after a man reportedly hit her in the face several times.
**A man on Chilco Street and Ivy Drive reported March 27 his ex-girlfriend threw a brick at his head, missed and threw another one through the windshield of his car.
Assault:
The Stanford Park Hotel reported that one of its guests assaulted
an employee on March 25.
Domestic violence:
A resident in the 1200 block of Willow Road reported
March 24 that her boyfriend and the father of her child hit her in the face.
The case has been transferred to the district attorney's office.
Injury accident:
One person was taken to the hospital March 22 after
a two-car collision on Valparaiso and Crane avenues.
Residential burglaries:
**The 1000 block of Creek Drive: Laptop, portable stereo and pocket organizer reported stolen March 23.
**The 300 block of Marmona Drive: Screen removed from bathroom window March 21, but nothing reported stolen.
**The 1100 block of Hollyburne Avenue: Stereo, camera, watch and CDs reported stolen March 23 from a car parked inside a locked garage.
**The 400 block of Ravenswood Avenue: Jewelry reported stolen March 24.
Commercial burglaries:
**Oriental Rug Center and Akasaka restaurant on El Camino Real: The adjoining businesses were reportedly burglarized March 23, following a similar incident on March 15. Oriental rugs and $200 in cash were reported stolen.
**The German American School on Elliott Drive: Stereo reported stolen March 25.
Attempted commercial burglary:
Locks reportedly broken on iron gate and
electricity disconnected March 25 at Li Michoacana on Willow Road.
Theft reports:
**The 1300 block of Madera Avenue: CD player reported stolen March 21.
**Menlo Park Presbyterian Church on Santa Cruz Avenue: Cellular phone reported stolen from the office on March 24.
**The Linfield Oaks area near Willow Road: Four bikes reported stolen March 26 from three residences.
Stolen vehicle:
Car reported stolen March 24 from the Beta Phase parking
lot on Constitution Drive.
Recovered stolen vehicle:
A car reported stolen in the 1400 block of Plumas Avenue March 23 was located
later that afternoon in the 1400 block of Hill Avenue with the ignition punched
and the stereo stolen.
Vehicle burglary:
Cellular phone reported stolen in the 1300 block of
Carlton Avenue on March 25.
Vandalism:
**The Chamber of Commerce on Merrill Street: Window reportedly smashed March 24.
**The 1300 block of Hill Avenue: Three tires reportedly slashed March 27.
PORTOLA VALLEY
Grand theft:
Bicycle reported stolen March 18 from a carport in the
first block of Campo Road.
Vandalism:
Mailbox in the first block of Bolivar Lane reportedly found
March 18 in the bushes at the end of the cul de sac.
WOODSIDE
Assault:
A construction worker in the first block of Moore Road reportedly
headbutted a co-worker March 12, causing a laceration on his nose.
Domestic violence:
A resident in the 3600 block of Sand Hill Road reported
March 15 that during an argument her boyfriend grabbed her arm and twisted it.
