Two big parties are planned in April to raise funds for Woodside High School projects and sports programs. On April 25, the Woodside High School Foundation will hold it's first dinner-dance and auction. On April 18, the Woodside Boosters Club will hold its annual spring luncheon and fashion show.
Dinner-dance
The event includes a silent auction with dozens of things to bid on, including weekend getaways, dinners, sports equipment and tickets, and gift certificates for professional services.
A buffet dinner will be followed by dancing to the rock-and-roll band, "The Outcasts."
Dress is casual and guests are encouraged to "come as you were" and have their picture taken in a vintage automobile, loaned for the occasion by Larry Rhodes and Liz Ball.
Tickets are just $30 per person, available from the WHS Foundation by calling 367-9750, ext. 8687.
The five-year old Woodside High School Foundation's mission is to raise funds for school projects that have a broad-based, substantial, and lasting impact on the school community.
Fashion show
Before the luncheon there will be a silent auction and drawing.
The fashion show will feature seniors, faculty and staff, and parents of the graduating class modeling clothing from The Wet Seal, Ann Taylor, Miller's OutPost, Performance Bike, NorthFace, Woodside Mercantile and others.
Money raised will be used to support the sports programs at Woodside High School. Donation is $25 for advance reservation for the luncheon, $30 at the door. Donation for the 5 p.m. show is $10 for adults, $5 for students. For ticket information. call Barbara Barnum, 851-0404.
