Marcia Cheney of Menlo Park was awarded a master's degree in international management during the spring-summer commencement ceremony of Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management, in Glendale, Ariz. The 550 graduates represented 57 nations and 39 U.S. states.
Jennifer Lee Berger of Menlo Park and Abigail Kate Murphy of Woodside have graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Each received a bachelor of arts degree from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts.
Laura Ann Maletis, daughter of Jim and Mary Liz Maletis of Atherton, was awarded a bachelor of arts degree at Boston College's 122nd commencement. Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern was the commencement speaker.

Kristin Grayce Koeker graduated from Duke University with a double major, history and comparative area studies. She was on the dean's list her final semester. In the fall, she will pursue a master's degree at Jerusalem University College. Kristin is the daughter of Susan and John Koeker of Woodside.
Christopher John Stoner was awarded a bachelor of arts degree in English during commencement exercises at Haverford College. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. John Stoner III of Menlo Park.
Summer Lee Hubbard and Sarah Christina Mueller, both of Menlo Park, received a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University. Summer majored in biology. Sarah's major was in human development and family sciences.
Jennifer Allison Tagg graduated magna cum laude from Duke University. She received a bachelor of engineering degree from the school of engineering. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Tagg of Portola Valley.
Amy Elizabeth Veselovsky graduated from Grove City College, a private, four-year college in Grove City, Pa., specializing in liberal arts and sciences. She majored in history and received a bachelor of arts degree. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Veselovsky, former Menlo Park residents now living in Prescott, Ariz.
Stephanie Lynn White is graduating this weekend from the University of California, Davis, with a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences. She will have an internship in biology with a Davis professor in the fall. While at Davis, she was president of the alpine ski team and competed in the Division II national finals at Incline Village. Stephanie is the daughter of Morgan White of Woodside and Nancy White of Menlo Park.
