Correction Correction (August 26, 1998)

In The Almanac's August 19 issue, there was an error in the article entitled "Senators invite local mayors to airport noise meeting." The sentence, "NASA-Ames engineers, on contract from the Federal Aviation Administration, have been working for about a year to safely increase flights to the Bay Area by 300 percent within the next three years." The sentence should read: "NASA-Ames engineers ... have been working for about a year to safely increase flights nationwide by 300 percent within the next 10 years." The Almanac regrets the error.
