Woodmen couldn't spare this tree at Oak Knoll School Woodmen couldn't spare this tree at Oak Knoll School (August 26, 1998)

Caption with photo in print edition: This large valley oak at Oak Knoll School in Menlo Park was taken down last week because the arborist diagnosed it as not only diseased but dangerous. The 45-inch diameter tree was located in the area near the tennis courts which soon will become a staff-only parking lot with spaces for 28 cars.
