The following information is from Atherton and Menlo Park police departments and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Under the law, people charged with an offense are considered innocent until convicted.

ATHERTON

Public intoxication arrests: The following people were arrested on charges of being publicly intoxicated:

**Wilmaro Barragan, 29, of East Palo Alto, at the corner of El Camino Real and Ringwood Avenue February 15. He was taken to First Chance alcohol-intervention facility in Belmont.

**Paul Joseph Imlach, 27, of Redwood City, at the corner of El Camino Real and Glenwood Avenue. He was taken to county jail.

Residential burglary: A resident of the 1000 block of El Camino Real reported February 17 that his house had been entered and a CD player and CDs stolen some time during the week before.

Vandalism: A resident of the first block of Catalpa Avenue reported a smashed mailbox February 12.

MENLO PARK

Injury accident: One person was taken to the hospital February 18 after a two-car accident at the corner of El Camino Real and Santa Cruz Avenue.

Drunken driving: The following people were arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and taken to First CHance alcohol-intervention facility in Belmont:

**Scott Edward Hanson, 27, of San Carlos, February 13, at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and El Camino Real.

**Margarito Cardenas Castaneda, 25, of East Palo Alto, February 14, at the Chevron Gas station on Marsh Road.

Narcotics possession arrests: The following people were arrested on charges of narcotics possession February 14 at the Chevron Gas station: Francisco Hernando Lopez, 20, of Redwood City, and Jose Martinez, 23, also of Redwood City, were booked into county jail. Robert Contreras, 28, of Redwood City, was cited and released.

Assault. A woman who is 9 months' pregnant reported being yelled at and pushed down by an unknown man in the first block of Sevier Avenue February 12. The man was described as a black male in his 20s, 6 feet tall, with a short afro and goatee. The woman was treated by medics and released.

Burglary arrest: Two juvenile boys, one 17-year-old and one 16-year-old, were arrested on burglary charges February 12 at Menlo Feed on Oak Grove Avenue. They were booked into Hillcrest Juvenile Hall.

Commercial burglary: Toshiba laptop and cell phone reported stolen from an office in the 2800 block of Sand Hill Road February 15.

Vehicle burglary reports:

**Bag with wallet and checkbook reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 300 block of Oak Court February 12.

Vandalism: Several windows of a house in the 1300 block of Willow Road reported smashed February 18.

Recovered stolen vehicle reports:

**Black Acura was located by management at Sharon Green Apartments on Sharon Park Drive February 12. The car had been reported stolen in Palo Alto in December 1998.

**White Chevrolet van reported stolen in San Carlos was recovered in the 800 block of Willow Road February 16.

WOODSIDE Murder: A body later identified as Tracey Natalie Biletnikoff, 20, of San Ramon, was discovered in the parking lot of Canada College February 16. Her boyfriend, Mohammed Haroon Ali, 23, of San Mateo, was arrested on murder charges and was awaiting arraignment at press time.

Arson: A car that had been reported stolen from Redwood City was discovered on fire in the parking lot of Canada College February 13.

Fraud: An unknown person reportedly used the credit card of a resident of the 100 block of Fox Hollow Road to purchase items on the Internet February 11.
