Residents of Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Woodside and East Palo Alto may take hazardous household waste to a special dropoff location in Menlo Park on Saturday, March 13.
To participate, residents must make an appointment by March 8 by calling a 24-hour hotline, 363-4718.
Acceptable items include paint, thinners, motor oil, batteries, pesticides, herbicides, pool and photo chemicals, drain openers and cleaning solvents. No business waste, explosives, infectious or radioactive waste is allowed.
