Instituto Pro Musica de California will celebrate the traditional Maytime fiestas of Mexico with a series of Bay Area concerts beginning at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church April 30 in Menlo Park.
Directed by Juan Pedro Gaffney, the concert series draws from the folk traditions of Mexico. Singer, guitarist and songwriter Enrique Ramirez will join the Coro Hispano de San Francisco, a choral ensemble of Spanish-speaking people from the Bay Area, for the concerts.
The concert begins at 8 p.m., and tickets are $10 for adults, and free for kids 16 and under. St. Anthony of Padua is at 3500 Middlefield Road. For more information, call the Instituto at (515) 431-4234.
