Cookies, cakes and cupcakes will be the cat's meow this weekend as the Homeless Cat Network gets ready for its bake sale.
Proceeds from the sale, which will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, September 18, at the Pet Place in Menlo Park, 777 Santa Cruz Ave., will help the nonprofit organization spay and neuter homeless cats, provide funding for a planned cat sanctuary, and maintain the feral cat community in "allowed" colonies -- areas where feral cats are allowed to reside without harm.
