Artists open new Main Gallery in Redwood City Artists open new Main Gallery in Redwood City (September 06, 2000)

Twenty-two local artists -- including three from Menlo Park -- have combined to open the Main Gallery in Redwood City, located in the John Offerman House, a historic landmark at 1018 Main St., adjacent to the City Hall complex.

There will be a grand opening from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 10.

The art, displayed through the six-room home, ranges from paintings to mixed media, sculpture, pottery and photography. Gallery hours are 11-4 Wednesday through Friday and 10-3 on weekends.

Menlo Park artists are Karen Truesdell, a sculptor of large-scale, figurative creations; Pixie Couch, a potter whose specialty is thrown, high-fired porcelain with electric ash glazes; and Loraine LeBlanc, a painter of large, abstract oils and acrylics.

For more information, call the gallery at 701-1018, or visit the Web site at: themaingallery.org.
