This information is from Atherton and Menlo Park police departments and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Under the law, people charged with offenses are considered innocent until convicted.

Atherton

Drunken driving:

**Abel Sanchez, 37, of Redwood City was arrested for drunken driving at El Camino Real and Middle Avenue at 1:45 a.m. March 2 and taken to the First Chance alcohol-treatment facility in Belmont.

**Mary Munday, 32, of Redwood City was arrested for drunken driving at El Camino Real and Amherst Avenue at 11:45 p.m. March 2 and taken to First Chance.

Child molestation: Police responded to a reported case of child molestation in the 1100 block of Willow Road at 4:45 p.m. March 7. The case was referred to Child Protective Services.

Fighting on school grounds: Menlo-Atherton High School was the scene of a fight at 3:45 p.m. March 2.

Child abuse: An 11-year-old child with bruises was reported in the 100 block of Selby Lane at 11:15 a.m. March 7.

Menlo Park

Drunken driving: Michelle Basto, 18, of Galt, California, was arrested for drunken driving on U.S. 101 north of Marsh Road at 2:45 a.m. March 3. She was taken to First Chance.

Injury accident: A bicyclist and a vehicle collided at the intersection of Sand Hill Road and Oak Avenue at 8:45 a.m. March 6. The bicyclist was taken to Stanford Hospital.

Grand theft: A Rolex watch, a stainless steel watch band, and a gold watch band were taken from an unlocked display case at a business in the 1100 block of El Camino Real sometime between 10 and 10:45 a.m. March 2.

Burglary:

**A resident in the 1000 block of Oakland Avenue reported that a burglar broke into her home through the rear bathroom window and took a camera, a gold necklace, and a gold ring.

**Thieves attempted to steal a car from an unlocked garage in the 700 block of Hobart Street sometime between 8 a.m. March 1 and 9 a.m. March 2. The vehicle had been pushed out of the garage and 30 feet down the driveway, where it was found.

**A vehicle was stolen from the 500 block of Bay Road sometime between March 2 and March 7.

**A computer was taken from a business in the 500 block of Oak Grove Avenue sometime between 1:30 and 2:10 a.m. March 3.

Stolen vehicle: An unlocked vehicle was taken from a carport in the 1200 block of Mills Street sometime between March 1 and 5 p.m. March 4.
