Coldwell Banker has announced that Tom LeMieux has been named the No. 1 real estate agent in Menlo Park in terms of sales volume, and No. 2 among the company's 72,000 agents worldwide in 2000.

Mr. LeMieux is the company's No. 1 agent worldwide over the past two years with more than $300 million in closed sales, the company said.

A 14-year Bay Area real estate veteran, Mr. LeMieux specializes in sales of luxury homes and estates in the Atherton, Menlo Park, Portola Valley and Woodside communities.

Prior to entering real estate sales, he worked for 10 years in residential new home development. As an executive at a national home building firm, he was responsible for marketing, merchandising, pricing and product development for 20 communities throughout Northern California. He and his sales team sold 1,350 homes with a gross sales value of $350 million, Coldwell Banker said.

Today, in addition to residential sales with Coldwell Banker, Mr. LeMieux is the principal of Laurel Homes Development Inc., a new home development company in Menlo Park.

He resides in Menlo Park with his wife Kim and their two children.

Mr. LeMieux earned his bachelor's degree in finance and has a master's in business from Santa Clara University.

He is an associate with Coldwell Banker Northern California's Menlo Park Santa Cruz office, located at 930 Santa Cruz Ave.
