Menlo woman reported missing
(February 05, 2003) Menlo Park police are looking for Menlo Park resident Kayako Tomoikari, who was reported missing January 8.
Her car, a 1996 red Toyota Corolla, was found January 10 parked less than half a mile from the Golden Gate Bridge, and a note suggesting the possibility of suicide was found in the car, police said.
A police investigation revealed that Ms. Tomoikari had suffered from depression and may have been taking medication. A police search of the Presidio and the area around the bridge yielded no results.
Ms. Tomoikari is 40 years old, Japanese, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds and has dark eyes and dark shoulder length hair.
Anyone who saw Ms. Tomoikari just before her disappearance or has information as to her whereabouts is asked to call Menlo Park police at 858-3300.
