New director

Nancy Mangini is the new executive director of the Volunteer Bureau of San Mateo County.

Ms. Mangini has served as a consultant to healthcare, biotechnology and nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. She was recently appointed to the Housing and Community Development Commission by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and serves on the board of the Teen Pregnancy Coalition of San Mateo County.

Ms. Mangini holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and lives in Redwood City with her husband, Michael.

New leader

The Housing Leadership Council (HLC) of San Mateo County has selected Christopher Mohr as executive director. He will succeed East Palo Alto Councilman Duane Bay, who will remain on the HLC board.

Mr. Mohr comes to the county's housing advocacy group from San Francisco where he directed fund development for the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corp. for eight years. During that time the agency more than doubled the number of housing units it owns by building several large complexes with affordable units.

"Chris brings a strong background of housing advocacy, fund development, and building community partnerships," said Greg Greenway, board president of HLC and executive director of Seaport Industrial Association in Redwood City.
