Girls water polo team captures fifth place
After mustering a powerful defense, The Menlo-Atherton girls water polo team triumphed over the Live Oak Acorn's to take fifth place in the Amanda MacDonald Invitational on October 3 and 4.
In spite of Live Oak's rally in the third and fourth periods, the Bears won 7-4. A last-minute goal pass from Mia Tomijima to Kelly Eaton sealed the win for M-A. Katie Zeiser, playing defense, shut down the Acorn's hole set offense.
The tournament was held at Menlo College, Sacred Heart Prep and Castilleja School.
