Caption with Nick Wright photo in print edition: Sonia Trujillo got a hospital-bedside visit from Santa Claus last week at Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. Santa, aka Menlo Park district firefighter Dave Dickinson, leads the annual Christmastime teddy bear delivery to the children at Packard, an event sponsored by the Firefighters Association and supported by the Menlo Park fire district. The stuffed bears are donated by members of the community, and district firefighters roll them in on two "bear trees," parading "through the hallways and cheering up the children," says district Fire Chief Paul Wilson.
