MP volleyball player at Trinity College
Menlo Park resident Stacy Hills, who plays volleyball as a freshman for Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, tallied 24 assists in a recent contest against Tufts, but Tufts won 3-2.
Retrospective exhibit on local sport legends
The San Mateo County History Museum has opened a retrospective exhibit with photographs and information on major athletes, teams and coaches from San Mateo County.
The exhibit, "San Mateo County Sports: A Retrospective," features a Heisman Trophy dedicated to Gary Beban and a gold medal won by Olympian John Naber. It also has photographs, taken in their youth, of John Madden, Barry Bonds, Bill Walsh, Trish King and Lynn Swann.
The museum is located at 777 Hamilton St. in downtown Redwood City. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $4 for adults, and $2 for seniors and students. Children under 5 are free.
