Las Lomitas School District: Steve Sowiski elected president
(December 24, 2003) Trustee Steve Sowiski is the new president of the governing board of the Las Lomitas Elementary School District after being elected at the board's December 10 meeting. The new clerk of the board is Trustee Leslie Airola-Murveit.
The president, whose term lasts for a year, chairs the board meetings and meets with the district superintendent to set the meeting agendas. The clerk fills in when the president is absent.
The five-member board elected Mr. Sowiski and Ms. Airola-Murveit on 4-0 votes.
