Thomas Settle
Southern Pacific accountant
Thomas B. Settle of Menlo Park died December 16 at Stanford Medical Center after a long battle with lung cancer. He was 83.
Mr. Settle was born in San Francisco and was a veteran of World War II. A resident of Menlo Park for 43 years, he was an accountant with Southern Pacific. He was a member and past officer of Palo Alto Elks Lodge No. 1471 for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Settle of Menlo Park. Private services were held. Donations may be made to the Palo Alto Elks Lodge No. 1471, 4249 El Camino Real, Palo Alto.
Deltha O'Neal II
Menlo Park resident
Funeral services for Deltha Lee O'Neal II of Menlo Park will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 26, in the chapel of Spangler Mortuaries, 650 Live Oak Ave. in Menlo Park. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the mortuary.
A native of Sparkman, Arkansas, Mr. O'Neal died December 19 at his home. He was a laborer.
He is survived by his 10 children: Andre, Delta, Deltha Lee III, Patrice, Latoya, Allen, Rene, Desiree, Darius and Olivia; his parents Helen Tamplin of Menlo Park and D.L. O'Neal of Stuttgart, Ark.; his companion, Cloveral Deal; eight brothers and sisters; and seven grandchildren.
