This information is from the Atherton and Menlo Park police departments and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Under the law, people charged with offenses are considered innocent until convicted.
Atherton

Vandalism: Skateboard damage found on pillars at Las Lomitas School, 200 block Alameda de las Pulgas, January 1.

Mail tampering: Someone found and arrested December 30 while in possession of mail and laptop computer belonging to resident of 200 block of Austin Avenue.
Menlo Park

Petty theft: Various automotive products stolen from Chevron gas station, 1300 block Willow Road, December 26. Two dollars stolen from unlocked vehicle, 1100 block Willow Road, December 29. Necklaces, shirts and pants stolen from residence, 1300 block Madera Avenue, December 31.

Vehicle theft: Vehicle stolen, 1300 block Willow Road, December 30. Vehicle stolen, 1600 block Marsh Road, January 1.

Auto burglaries: Charge cards, purse, cash and 28 CDs stolen, 300 block Bay Road, December 26. Notebook computer, power adapters, sunglasses, knife and CDs stolen, 600 block Monte Rosa Drive, December 28.

Fraud: Resident of 200 block O'Connor Street reported fraudulent use of resident's credit card number on December 29.

Vehicle accidents:

** Four vehicles were involved in a non-injury accident at the intersection of El Camino Real and Sand Hill Road on December 29.

** Two vehicles collided in a non-injury accident at the intersection of San Hill Road and Santa Cruz Avenue on December 29.

** A vehicle struck a 19-month-old child while traveling in reverse near Hobart Street. The child was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a broken leg.

** A non-injury accident was reported in the 1600 block of Marsh Road on January 1.

Vandalism: Trespassers reported on roof of Le Boulanger Bakery, 700 block Santa Cruz Avenue, December 30. Vehicle keyed and scratched, Safeway grocery store parking lot on El Camino Real, December 30.
Woodside

Grand theft: Camera stolen from table during party, 2900 block Woodside Road, December 8.

Domestic violence: Spencer Horne, 24, of San Francisco was arrested in the 3600 block of Tripp Road on December 25.

Vehicle accidents: Two vehicles collided while merging, freeway ramp at Interstate 280 and Highway 84, December 3. Vehicle collided with resident's front gate, 600 block Manzanita Way, December 8. Two vehicles collided, intersection of Portola Road and Tadin Lane, December 18. Two vehicles traveling in opposite directions collided, Highway 84 near Grandview Drive, December 19.
Portola Valley

Auto burglary: Vehicle window smashed and purse stolen, 500 block Portola Road, December 13.

Vehicle accidents: Vehicles collided with parked vehicle while turning around, 800 block of Portola Road, December 18.
West Menlo Park

Vandalism: Vehicle windshield smashed, 1300 block Cloud Avenue, December 6.
