This information is from the Atherton and Menlo Park police departments and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Under the law, people charged with offenses are considered innocent until convicted.
Atherton

Assault: A student pushed a teacher while in class at Menlo-Atherton High School on January 16.

Juvenile problem: Five juveniles pulled their pants down in front of the driver of a passing vehicle near the intersection of Frederick and Ringwood avenues, January 19.

Petty theft: Recycling bin, Stockbridge Avenue, January 16. Bicycle stolen from bike rack by five juveniles, Encinal School, January 20.

Vandalism: Vehicle windshield smashed by golf ball, 1000 block El Camino Real, January 16. Graffiti on fence, Selby Lane, January 18. Damage to interior of vehicle left overnight in parking lot, 1000 block of El Camino Real, January 20.

Menlo Park

Assault with deadly weapon: Faustino Raymundo Mairena, 66, of Hayward was arrested at the intersection of Willow Road and Ivy Drive at 9:40 a.m. January 20 and booked into county jail.

Spousal abuse: Miguel Bailon, 22, of Menlo Park was arrested in the 700 block of Ivy Drive on January 22 and booked into county jail.

Burglary: Jewelry stolen from residence, 200 block Elm Street, January 21.

Grand theft: Ninety-one keys stolen from vehicle, 900 block Santa Cruz Avenue, January 20.

Petty theft: License plate stolen, 1300 block Carlton Avenue, January 18.

Vandalism: Vehicle window smashed, 600 block Monte Rosa Drive, January 20.

Fraud: Credit card used fraudulently, 1300 block Carlton Avenue, January 21.
Woodside

Vehicle incidents: ** A woman drove over a mailbox at the intersection of Portola and Old La Honda roads on January 13. ** A vehicle was found over an embankment near the intersection of Preston and Old La Honda roads on January 18.
West Menlo Park

Fraud: Someone attempted to obtain a credit card using personal information of a resident in the 2100 block of Avy Avenue.
