The deadline to register for the Portola Valley Adult Soccer League is February 15. People can register online at www.pvasl.org or call for a mail-in application. The cost is $75, including use of a jersey for the season.

There is room for new women in the league, but men who have not played before will probably be placed on a waiting list for openings unless they sign up with a woman player.

Men must be 30 years or older to join. Women must be 18 or older.

Soccer clinics and pickup games will be held on March 7 and 14 at 2 p.m. The regular season runs from March 21 to June 27 at Portola Valley Town Center, with games at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

There will be no regular season games on Easter Sunday and Memorial Day weekend, though there will be pickup games at 2 p.m.
