Supes, Assembly candidates at forum

Candidates for the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and the 21st district seat in the state Assembly are taking on the issues at a videotaped interview/forum scheduled for Tuesday, February 10.

A moderator from the League of Women Voters of South San Mateo County is posing questions to the candidates. The event takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors' chambers at 400 County Center in Redwood City. For more information, call 322-6914.
Ted Lempert event in Menlo Park

Ted Lempert, a candidate for the state Senate District 11 seat, will host a community event on Thursday, February 12, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Becker home at 2098 Valparaiso Ave. in Menlo Park. Mr. Lempert is expected to talk about a range of issues, and there will be information for those who want to find out how to get involved in his campaign. The event is not a fundraiser, and is open to the public.
