Ronn Owens, host of "The Ronn Owens Program" on KGO-AM in San Francisco, will replace TV personality Dr. Dean Edell at the Peninsula Volunteers Authors' Salon on Sunday, March 7, starting at 11 a.m. at Hyatt Rickeys in Palo Alto. Dr. Edell cited a family medical emergency.

Mr. Owens has written a new book, "Voice of Reason: Why the Left and Right Are Wrong."

The salon includes a luncheon, discussion by the authors of their recent publications and a question-and-answer session. It is co-sponsored by Kepler's Books. Tickets are $75 and reservations are required. To purchase tickets, call Peninsula Volunteers at 326-0665.
