Caption with Carol Ivie photo in print edition: A full-scale assault on the invasive plant French Broom in Portola Valley is planned for Saturday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to noon along Portola and Alpine roads. This is the first town-wide effort and is sponsored by the town's Conservation Committee, said committee chair Marge DeStaebler.
