** Navy Seaman Recruit Ryan J. Hutts recently completed an eight-week program of U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois. He is the grandson of Marleys Hoch of Menlo Park.

** Marine Corps Lance Corporal Jonathan H. Gonzales , a 2002 Woodside High School graduate, recently participated in the seizure of approximately 2,800 pounds of hashish with an estimated value of $11 million after intercepting a small Arabian vessel. He is homebased in Camp Pendleton and assigned to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
