Musical mystery tour at Sacred Heart Prep Musical mystery tour at Sacred Heart Prep (March 31, 2004)

Who killed Mr. Boddy? Was it Professor Plum in the Otto Library with the candlestick?

Theatergoers will find out when Sacred Heart Preparatory's drama department presents the interactive whodunit "Clue: The Musical," based on the board game. Performances will be Thursday through Saturday, April 1-3, at the high school, 150 Valparaiso Ave. in Atherton.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and faculty. For more information, call 473-4077.

To set the mood, "Clue" will begin with a cabaret at 7 p.m. Thursday and Saturday and at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday. A half-hour later, the audience will choose three cards representing the murderer, the weapon and the crime scene, setting in motion a musical mystery tour of eight rooms in the school's stately Main Building.

As the show's colorful characters introduce themselves through song and dance, the audience will move from room to room, gathering clues to solve the crime. With more than 200 possible outcomes, each performance is bound to be different.

John Loschmann, directs the cast: Caroline Lewis (Miss Scarlet), Christina Ramsay (Miss Blue), Katie Paschal (Miss Pink), Dan Brady of San Carlos (Colonel Mustard), Jaimie Lowe (Mrs. White), Lindsey Van Zanten (Professor Plum), Rochelle LeGrandsawyer (detective), Scott Norton (Mr. Boddy), Emily Borromeo (Mrs. Peacock), and Nic Rouleau (Mr. Green).

The musical was written by Peter De Pietrowith; lyrics are by Tom Chiodo and music by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker and Vinne Martucci.
