Men at work on Hamilton Avenue
Men at work on Hamilton Avenue
(April 07, 2004) Caption with Carol Ivie photo in print edition:
Hamilton Avenue in Menlo Park has been a flurry of activity lately, with crews upgrading the byway between Willow Road and Chilco Street. Funded by property tax in the Belle Haven redevelopment area, the $7 million project includes new sidewalks, gutters, curbs, lights, trees and planters. Utilities are being placed underground to make the area look more attractive, the street is being repaved, and curbs are being extended at some of the intersections to make it easier for pedestrians to cross, said city supervising engineer Art Morimoto. Work began last fall and is expected to finish in the summer of 2005.
