Justice gets wired at courthouse Justice gets wired at courthouse (April 14, 2004)

With the launch of new Internet services at San Mateo County Superior Court, the public now can get court case information on the Web and have wireless Internet access at the Hall of Justice at 400 County Center in Redwood City.

The "Open Access" service provides access to civil, family law, small claims and probate case information online, with confidential information and personal data left out to protect confidentiality, said Judge Mark R. Forcum.

The service, Judge Forcum said, "eliminates unnecessary trips to the courthouse."

Wireless Internet access, a subscription-based service, is available on the second floor of the Hall of Justice. Additional locations will be added in the coming months, Judge Forcum said.

For more information, go to www.sanmateocourt.org or call the customer support hotline for the services at (877) 838-9067.
