From the plight of native ants in California to a bacterium's penchant for mascara, the inquiring minds of students of science at La Entrada School were on the case, competing in the school's recent fifth annual science fair. The finalists, from left, are Evie Pless, seventh grade; Corey Cheung and Jack Foster, sixth grade; and Alex Lattin, eighth grade.
